Just as much as robots are linked to the end of the human race, it is without a doubt an inevitable future outcome of today’s technologies. Since the start of the millennium, movies have been showing us what kind of a world we would have with robots in it. But that didn’t stop scientists from bringing robotics under the spotlight, and now people are having major robocop and terminator flashbacks. Let’s take a look at some of the forms scientists believe AI would take in the future:
Yup! Robotic pets. Scientists believe that in the future, humans wouldn’t need to own a real-life pet, and instead they would get themselves a robo-dog or a robo-cat! As creepy as it seems, I don’t believe that technologists would stop there. So, would you get one?
Because things seem much cooler with their initial letters, meet the terrain robots. These are mobile robots that are designed to perform mainly on off-road, providing navigation across bumpy and rough terrains. They mainly have wheels or tracks for locomotion. This type of robots would help in rescue missions in tougher areas and rougher weathers.
The future would be the end of soccer as we know it! Instead of placing a bet on two soccer teams, you would be placing a bet between a team of soccer players and a team of fully autonomous humanoid robots, which is called the robocup competition. Well, if soccer would be robotized, what wouldn’t? Scary, ha?
Those who have watched black mirror wouldn’t be surprised! But those who didn’t, I guess it’s time you would!
The best solution robotics could ever provide is robotic prosthetic.
Since we won’t be seeing a walking dead anytime soon, we might be witnessing a walking robot walking our streets and handling our chores. And Sophie is just the beginning.
Instead of having the latest electronic vacuum cleaner, and those AI light sensors you would be getting mini mobile robots that would take care of everything your house needs.
As cool as the name appears, this would be a robotic device that helps the army lift heavy equipment without affecting their body negatively.
This is just a hint of what AI has next for robotics. Do you think we would get to have a robocop? Or even a fleet of robocops? Do you believe that this would be the mere beginning of terminator with all its seasons? Tell us what you think.
